Yesterday, I told Annabel a very funny joke. At least, I thought it was funny.
Me: Oh, come on! Why didn't you laugh? That was funny.
Annabel: Not really.
Me: Well then, you must not have a sense of humor!
Annabel: I do. It's just that jokes are old to me and boring.
Ouch. I didn't realize that jokes were so passe.
