Springtime is here again!

I love springtime! With the warmer weather we've been spending a lot more time outdoors, and it's been fabulous. Unfortunately, that means the house is even dirtier than usual. Before I had children, I would've thought the opposite would be true, since no one is inside to mess things up. Rookie mistake. As any mother knows, you have to take into account how much of the outside that will be brought inside once playtime is over.

Today after all the little feet came scurrying inside, the chaos was monumental.

The floor looks more like a sandy beach than anything, the sink is filled with grime and covered with muddy hand prints, and the water in the bathtub has turned some dark, mysterious color I never knew existed.

Oh, yes...springtime is here! (And along with it--spring cleaning time!)

Here's one of my favorite simple, all-natural cleaner recipes (in case you have similar chaos at your house!):

1 cup vinegar
1 cup water
spray bottle

Mix vinegar and water in the spray bottle. Spray on surface, and wipe with cloth or sponge.

Oh yes, the sweeping of dried mud clumps...does it ever end? We also have a great sandbox in our yard...not so great when the kids' clothes have cuffs to collect all that sand!

The girls love our sandbox and have so much fun building sandcastles, digging for buried treasure, loading buckets...dumping sand on each others heads, filling their pockets with sand, eating sand...
